The weather has turned very warm, the ground floor floors are in and things have started to move very fast.

Straight to the new stuff.

Looking down onto the foundations of the lounge area.

Looking into the cellar.

The TV aerial blew down yesterday! So I took the opportunity to take some aerial views.

Note the window (dead centre) which should allow a little natural light into the utility room part of the cellar.

New hallway to the bottom right.

This is from the garage roof looking into the cellar (right). To the left is the underfloor area of the lounge.

The Bankers!!  The old stone from Rutland Lodge has now all been trimmed and cleaned up. Beyond here are huge spoil heaps.

The floors are going in.

Looking from just inside the new hallway towards the dining area.

The outer skin of the lounge wall is about to come off. The scaffolding sent up today.

Our next mission is to prepare for the four windows to be boarded up.

This is looking from the new dining area towards the new hall.

From the dining area towards the kitchen. Just to the right of the ladder is the opening for the window into the utility room.

From the hall towards the dining area. You can now see the makings of the french window openings.

The sparks are from some steel reinforcement being cut to size.

Same sort of view taking advantage of the scaffolding for a bird's eye shot.

The "V" shaped bit (bottom left) will be the steps down to the living area.

Another bird's eye view. Neil is coming up from the basement lobby.

The doorway to his left will go into the access lobby (see below).

Meanwhile Dave has it turns out been busy in the workshop.....

After and before shots. The new wall is now up to about what will be floor level (living area level).

There will be a door going out at the top left of the picture. The far bit of new blockwork is going to have a plinth for the small lathe added.

The the left of that bit of wall will be a little storage area, the compressor will likely go back in here.

In the cellar looking towards the entrance. You can see through to the workshop.

The wooden bits will take the special guttering which is part of the waterproofing system.

We now have a deadline to move out of half of the house. A week on Monday!!!

I reckon we can avoid any commercial storage as we will be able to retain about 3/4 of the conservatory,

which should take everything.
